    This is a Curious and Creative (free) art class on June 9th at Northwoods Friends of the Arts.  Join instructor, Kris Musto, to make artwork inspired by painter Frida Kahlo. There is a movie made about Kaho’s life for more information.  A Mexican painter known for her many portraits, self-portraits and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico, Frida’s paintings explore questions of identity, post-colonialism, gender, class, and race. Her paintings often had strong autobiographical elements and mixed realism with fantasy. Students will explore paint, drawing and collage to make self portraits or still lives inspired by her art. This is a fun and easy class open to all levels! All are welcome and special care shown for beginners that want to try ART! 

    Register soon for this June 9th, Thursday  Curious and Creative Art Class which begins at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m..  Class size limited to 8 at NWFA Gallery, 210 S. River St.
